After completing this module students will be familiar with various types of thermometers and with different temperature scales. Students will be able to calculate the amount thermal expansion of solids and liquids due to a change in temperature. Students will be familiar with different types of heat transfer mechanisms. Students will be able to use the ideal gas law to relate pressure, volume, and temperature of a gas.
